Black Stars forward, Abdul Majeed Waris, has joined Portuguese side, FC Porto, on loan from Lorient until the end of the season.

Waris had been the subject of interest from clubs like Burnley, West Ham and Caen. Caen, in particular were said to be close to finalising terms with the player.
FC Porto boss Sergio Conceicao is said to be a fan of Waris and the move will be seen as a huge vote of confidence for the for Right To Dream player.
Waris scored 20 goals in 56 appearances for Lorient and he he hopes to find the net very often for his new side.
“I’m here to fight for Porto, not for the name on my jersey. I feel I can help add goals. Brahimi, Aboubakar & Marega always seem to be scoring, so hopefully I’ll help us score more. What’s important is goals, not who scores them.”
After signing the needed paperwork, he was at the Estadio Dragao to watch Porto’s league match against Tondela.
Waris could be part of the Porto team that faces rivals, Sporting Lisbon, in the Portugese Cup on Sunday.
